At 1.40am on 13th December 2009, Ken sadly passed away in his sleep in Southend University Hospital after being admitted on the 8th.
On his last day he was laughing and joking with his many visitors and was complaining that mum had not yet bought his new shoes for coming out to France for Christmas. He was also most put out at missing his weekly bingo on Saturday!
